Pantone Colour of the year - Classic Blue

Looking into 2020 colour trends, Pantone have announced that the timeless colour of classic blue is the one to aim for.

According to Leatrice Eiseman, the director of Pantone’s Color Institute, classic blue is a “solid and dependable hue we can always rely on. Classic blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious, to expand our thinking.

Looking at daily encounters of the colour with the Facebook logo, a Pepsi can and more we can see why classic blue is going a popular hue this coming year.

Looking at it from a hair point of view is where i will be looking at expanding my palette and offering some variations on hair colour next year. Now blue won't be for everyone, but its all about how your going to use it. A classic blue root stretch into a crystal clear blonde, colour placement or one of the biggest trends we will be seeing for 2020 is colour panelling.

I can see this being used for impact, colour panelling will be a must for the fashionistas, and where better to start than with a punchy blue.
